    City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Wetland Audit
    SEF undertook a wetland audit for the entire Metropolitan Municipality, with the intention of facilitating spatial planning and urban development decisions.

    Scoping and Environmental Impact Assessment for the Komati Water Scheme Augmentation Project
    SEF was appointed by Eskom Holdings Limited to facilitate the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) procedure for the proposed augmentation of the Komati Water Scheme in the Emalahleni area of Mpumalanga Province.

    Environmental Management Frameworks (EMF)
    SEF has developed numerous Environmental Management Frameworks (EMF) for local, provincial and national governments. Recent EMFs undertaken include Mbombela EMF, Mangaung EMF, West Rand District EMF, GDACE Regional EMF, East London IDZ EMF, Emakhazeni EMF, Mogale City EMF and the Madibeng EMF.

    Gauteng Agricultural Potential Atlas (GAPA)
    SEF developed the Gauteng Agricultural Potential Atlas (GAPA) for Gauteng Provincial Government. This tool is a scientific and objective GIS-based decision support system to inform and guide all development and land use decisions related to agricultural land in the province.

    Lesotho Senqu Sources
    SEF conducted a Strategic Environmental Assessment for the proposed Senqu Sources Protected Area in the Maloti Drakensberg region. The driving force behind the establishment of the protected area is to safeguard the unique biodiversity of the area, protect water sources, improve the condition of the grazing and provide community benefits through the establishment of tourism ventures.

    Northwest Biodiversity Inventory
    SEF compiled the Northwest Biodiversity Inventory for the Northwest Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Environment.

    Open Space Management
    SEF developed various open space management tools, including for the Johannesburg Open Space System phases 1 and 2 (JMOSS), the Gauteng Open Space Project phases 2 and 3 (GOSP), the Sedibeng District Open Space System (SDOSS) and Mogale Urban Open Space.
